AMACH were delighted to have a visit to our office from Minister Roderic O'Gorman TD and Senator Pauline O'Reilly last Thursday, 3rd November 2022. Much was discussed in relation to the work that has been done and continues to be done for the LGBTI+ community in Galway, as well as our ongoing efforts to re-establish Teach Solais Resource Centre here in Galway City. We also took the opportunity to thank the Minister in person for the essential funding we receive from The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth which funds our amazing full-time staff.
We look forward to ongoing conversations about supporting the LGBTI+ community in Galway City and County, as well as making Teach Solais 2.0 a reality!
AMACH! LGBT Galway aims to reflect equally the diversity within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community by encouraging positive participation from the community. We actively advocate to achieve a solid and safe support structure for the LGBT+ community in Galway.
