AMACH! and Cosáin will be teaming up to host a weekly drop-in session on Wednesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. at Teach Solais on Merchant’s Road.
Starting this Wednesday 16th of August
Members of the community are welcome to stop by, play cards, do artwork, stretch, or listen to and/or play music. The drop-in will be a three hour period dedicated to improving and sustaining positive mental health in Galway during a time when local supports are closed.
We hope that you will join us for a cup of tea, a game of Bohnanza, and a chat with new friends.
As well as the peer support groups, health promotion we are delighted there are some fun activities happening in Teach Solais were people with similar interests can meet and have a chat/cuppa with members of our community.
Saturday 8th July 11pm to 1pm Silver Rainbows LGBT+ Older group
Silver Rainbows continue the banner making work shop, it’s looking great. Come and have a cuppa at 10.45 the work starts at 11pm.
Drop-in’s Saturdays from 2pm to 4pm
Drop-in’s continue, a casual informal place for people to find out what is happening in the centre, peer support groups that use the centre upcoming health and educational events that will take place. Come in have a cuppa read a book, play a board game. All the latest GCN magazine’s are now available in the centre. Find out how you can get involved.
AMACH! and the Teach Solais management group would like to thank the volunteers who have been givin up their own time to help with the drop-in’s. The volunteers are there just to welcome those attending, make sure the centre is looking well for those who attend and answer any questions regarding activities that take place in the centre.
Tuesday 11th July 18-25 yr old Peer Support Group 7pm to 8.30 pm
The support group has been running for a while now and going from strength top strength, see poster below for details
It’s not too late for that spring well summer clear out. If you have any unwanted clothes, bed clothes etc you would like to get rid of please think of donating to AMACH! all proceeds will go towards the running of Teach Solais LGBT+Resource centre see info on poster below.
There will also be a collection at the centre on Saturday 8th of July
