Galway Community Pride 2017

Wow! Well, what a Pride Week! Congratulations to Galway Community Pride from the board of AMACH! and Teach Solais management group for organising a brilliant week of events!

Teach Solais was delighted to be the venue of many great activities from the Drop-in Pre-Flag-raising to the Mental Health Talk to very successful Free HIV Testing with AIDSWEST and the Launch of the Annual AMACH! Report and update on the resource centre.

A special congratulations to Nuala Ward for achieving the Pride Of Galway award. And a very big thank you for voting for AMACH! as best charity!😊

Many thanks to everyone that contributed to our bucket collection which took place during the Pride Parade,  that raised €437.23

AMACH!/Cosáin drop-in at Teach Solais

AMACH! and Cosáin will be teaming up to host a weekly drop-in session on Wednesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. at Teach Solais on Merchant’s Road.

Starting this Wednesday 16th of August 

Members of the community are welcome to stop by, play cards, do artwork, stretch, or listen to and/or play music. The drop-in will be a three hour period dedicated to improving and sustaining positive mental health in Galway during a time when local supports are closed.

We hope that you will join us for a cup of tea, a game of Bohnanza, and a chat with new friends.

Galway Community Pride 7th to 13th August 2017

AMACH! LGBT Galway are saddened by news that there is confusion in the community regarding the impending Galway Pride Festival, Galway Community Pride IS GOING AHEAD!!! Much work has been done by members of the LGBT+ community to ensure a vibrant, insightful, inclusive and fun Pride Festival will take place from August 7th-13th.

There is a host of activities from the Pride of Galway Awards, Art Exhibition, Film night, BTQIA+ Tea party, Comedy night and of course the glorious Pride March! Many activities are taking place in Teach Solais, LGBT+ Resource Centre- the Resource Centre FOR the community, VALUED by the community and USED by the community.

Free HIV testing with Aids West Friday 11th 2pm-4pm
